Difficult to get battery cover open. Once in operation...and using the "hard" cheese that they recommend...it did not perform as expected. Struggled to grate cheese and the silver grater kept sliding off its plastic mount causing it to stop working. It is in the process of being returned.

I never had a battery powers chees grater that was worth the money and this one is no esception. It was difficult to load and did not have a decent capacity for the cheese. Avoid it.

I really wanted this to work so that I could freshly grate parmesan. However, every time I tried to grate the cheese, the grater came apart. Going back.

Love Todd English, but this is not up to parr nor his usual high standards. have battery operated salt & peppers and was open to this battery-operated gizmo too....but like the others before me, I wanted so much to like this, it was doomed from the start. The motor labored with the cheese inside as if grinding stone. Oh so bad. Back to the drawing board on this one Todd. Sorry.
