Knifes are OK. Would prefer them sturdier. But the block has no angle and when is under the cabinets makes it impossible to pull-out large knifes. You have to drag hole block from under the cabinet to get the knife. If you want to have it on the island, or on the part of countertop that it is't under the cabinet - then I guess it's OK.
