It is made out of sturdy wood and is sooo cute, my daughter will use this for awhile I can tell. It is nice quality. My problem is not with the item but HSN....how and why would this come with a missing top??!! I mean, REALLY! Of course I didn't think to check that before wrapping it for Christmas...I guess I should have. This is the second time this has happened with HSN. I mean, is there a secret person that goes through boxes and steals parts??? get it right HSN...I'm done.
