jeans measuring guide
How to determine your perfect size |
Find the ideal jeans – and fit – without trying them on! Follow this guide for hassle-free jean shopping. All you need is measuring tape, an old pair of jeans that fit just right, and a little know-how. For the most accurate figures, do not measure over clothing (wear intimates only).
waist
Bend to one side to find your natural crease. Measure this area keeping tape parallel to the floor and comfortable (not too tight). |
hips
Stand with feet together and measure the fullest part of your hips and rear, keeping tape loose. |
rise
High – waistband sits above natural waist, covering the navel
Mid (or Regular) – sits just below the navel
Low – sits 2-3” below the navel
inseam
Lay your old jeans flat, choose a leg, and measure from crotch seam to hem. |
