| | | STEAK SANDWICHES WITH TEQUILA-CHIPOTLE KETCHUP Serving Size: 4 Ingredients 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 1 tablespoon olive oil 4 New York strip steaks, rib eye steaks or filets 2 tablespoons tequila 3/4 cup ketchup 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon (or to taste) adobo sauce from a can of chipotle chilies 1 tablespoon honey juice of 1/2 a lime Directions - Heat the olive oil and butter in a Command Performance Gold pan over high heat.
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Place the steaks in the skillet and sear until golden brown, the turn the steaks over and continue cooking to the desired doneness. Remove the steaks to a plate and keep warm.
- Return the pan to high heat and deglaze with the tequila. Add the ketchup, cumin, adobo sauce, honey and lime juice and stir to combine. Cook 1 minute, then remove from the heat.
- Slice the steaks. Spread steak rolls with homemade ketchup and pile with sliced steak.
