So far, glad I purchased. Gave 4 stars due to output of heating element; however, it is great to be able to back up to some warmth as you would a fireplace-would like more if it were enhanced by having a larger heating element. Of course, like the wood made by Amish rather than partially pressed wood and like the larger size. Had to call and hope I receive the 2nd remote and holder. All in all, it seems a good purchase.

Helpful Tips:

The remote sensor is found behind the black grate on the front right-hand corner of the fireplace. If the remote control is not working, reposition the angle of the remote toward this sensor.
Not using the remote control for a long period of time may cause the remote sensor to go into hibernate mode. Press the "on/off" button on the remote a couple of times to "wake up" the sensor and return to regular remote control use.
Simply unplugging the fireplace and plugging it back in also resets the remote sensor
