The vacuum cleaner worked very well until it died at the third month of use. Customer service at Garry Vac is poor. After multiple calls, which were not returned as promised, they want us to pay $50.00 for them to ship us a new vacuum and an additional $50.00 to ship the broken one back. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

Had to send it back. You cannot disengage the brush roller bar and it bangs on the wood floor with each turn of the roller. Obviously this will ruin a floor very quickly. I was very surprised at this. Even my cheap ($69) vacuum that I have had for a couple of years, has a setting for hard surface floors. Otherwise, it would fling the dirt all over as well as scuffing the floor.
Also, the "free" steam mop that comes with it is a piece of junk. It runs "warm" water all over the floor. It never steams.

I've been using this vacuum since Christmas and it is great. It's light weight which makes it easy for me to carry it up and down the stairs when I'm cleaning. I tried the bagless vacuums but don't like all the dirt particles going back in the air when dumping the canister in the trash and the suction was terrible. Decided to go back to bag vacuums and my choices were either the Garry or the Electrolux. I'm glad I chose the Garry ;-)

Garry Vacuum needs a great deal of improvement! It is so loud that it hurt my ears listening to it run. I thought it was an airplane motor. They used plastic tubes instead of metal causing dirt, hair, etc to stick to the tubes. This vacuum tore up my kitchen rug taking a gouge out of the middle. New rug destroyed. Vac would not pick up particles of dirt and cat litter. Carpert balled up in the beater brush. This vacuum is a sham. I refused to use the steamer. Garry is worse than a one star rating. Sent it back. Wondering why HSN is selling such an inferior product and making it sound so wonderful. Complete disappointment.

I purchased the Garry Vacuum about 2 months ago. I am very impressed with it so far. It has made my rugs look like new and I love the attachments that are right on the vacuum. I know there have been some bad reviews about this product breaking down but it is like an Oreck with the motor in the bottom of the machine that is why it cleans so well and you cannot pick up pennies or nails with it. I would not want to do that with any vacuum anyway. I really like this vacuum versatile and lightweight.
