The elastic wraps around the combs making it difficult to straighten.

These don't really hold a lot of hair, and aren't very easy to style with. Still, they are very pretty and they do stay in place. So what I do is style the old-fashioned way, then put the comb on top. It dresses up my look, covers up any styling imperfections and keeps everything in place the whole day. So it's a useful product, just don't expect it to do everything.
Also it stretches and doesn't quite bounce back, so I don't know how long it will last, but it's not a bad deal for the price.

My hair is super fine so not many hair clips can hold it in place for a long time. This would hold my hair in place for a little bit. After about an hour my hair would start falling out and I would have to fix it. I work 12 hours shift and in about 12 hours I had to fix it about 3 or 4 times it does hold hair in place but not as well as it claims on fine thin hair.

I bought these and tried them out. Unfortunately they are not for thick hair. My hair would never stay up in them. So I sent them back. They are beautiful clips, but they are made for thinner hair.

Seems like a good concept, but it needs some work. First, the combs are made of loops of metal and are too smooth. They wouldn't hold in my hair, kept slipping out after about 10 minutes no matter what I tried. Also, the elastic is not strong enough. They stretch out too much and don't have enough strength. If the product was redesigned with combs that had some little ridges or teeth to hold better and with stronger elastic, I would give them another try. Meanwhile, it's back to the claw clips!
