This canister does not have the pick up ability on carpet. The suction is fine, it's the attachment. The bin is small & fills up very fast since I have a shedding dog. I got this for portability cuz I don't have mobility to carry the upright up & downstairs, but am disappointed it doesn't do the job as well as my upright. I have the purple upright Dyson Animal and LOVE IT! I am keeping this one for small jobs because it is lightweight, plus it came with the 10 in fan which is awesome!

the fan would not work at all, and the dc26 vacuum , did not s__K it up that well , my bissell works better and faster, and the small canister , is just to small , sorry ,

The air multiplier is wonderful.
This is the third Dyson vacuum I have purchased. I like the maneuverability of the hard floor cleaner.
My dislikes are the powerful air exhaust from the unit. I don't notice that with the other Dysons I own.
It would be nice to have an attachable organizer for ALL of the attachments...or at least a handful.

I bought the Dyson because I have limited mobility and lugging a large vacuum is difficult. I have a dog and the dog hair clogs at the bottom of the canister. Thank goodness I don't have thick rugs because the floor/rug tool stops beating when it encounters a thicker rug. Great for floors and the dusting tool is great, but I also have rugs, so not so great. Am thinking about returning it.

Works great on all types of floors. The only con is the fact that the cord is alittle short.
