Fall Fashion Accessories

To me, accessories are basically the answer to any (fashion) dilemma. There are a few basic rules so to speak when working with accessories. Once you have mastered these (should take you about 2 minutes) then you will be set for Fall 2009.

Keep the accessory simple when wearing detailed clothing. When wearing an over the top print or dress, keep the footwear and jewelry fabulous but uncomplicated.

I love the bootie for Fall! Looks perfect with everything from dresses to jeans. HINT! If wearing a printed dress or skirt- pair the bootie with an opaque tight to keep your legs looking long and lean.

You can never wear too much jewelry (well, sometimes). Layer, layer, layer. I have always been obsessed with layering jewelry especially when it comes to bangles, bracelets, and cuffs (oh my!) Have fun with your jewelry this season- I LOVE mixing metallics! HINT! When you can't decide if you should buy the silver set or the gold set of bangles- buy both. Split each of them up with a friend and then mix and match your silver and gold for THE jewelry trend of the season.

When in doubt add a hint of "skin" with your accessory. If you can't decide what to buy this season, when in doubt keep it in the reptile family- skins! With snake and croco you simply cannot go wrong. I love it in shoes, handbags, and even jewelry. From heels to flats; clutches to oversized bags... Even if all you have is a hint of skin this Fall season, you will never be considered "extinct" in the fashion world. HINT! Mix it up. Wear your snake printed cardigan with your hot croco bag to really mix and match.
