The camera body offers many new features over previous models. The quality of the photos is so much better than my last model that it surprised me. Colors are more vibrant, detail is sharper, and focus ability is even better than before. Included 18-135 lens is a great walk around lens. Haven't felt the need to put another lens on yet. Highly recommend this camera. Many of my photo society colleagues have the 7D and agree with this assessment.

I was going to buy the Canon 60d, as I am serious nature photographer and getting into some heavy B&W, taking a photography course in Monochrome.
My wife is a professorial photographer and owns a 5D, and am very happy to say that the 7D in several categories blows her away, especially the 19 point auto focus, and dual processors.
One last note to those of you that are of the opinion that a full frame is the best. Not true, as with my 1.6 crop factor it enhances telephoto and macro.
