Have not really made an outfit yet to use the Serger but have tested it. Very easy to thread, hurray!.Tested it on different fabric types and stitching was very even.My regular machine is a Singer .My first machine was a Singer which was recieved in 1965 as a graduation gift. Always have used Singer machines.
solid serger, excellent stitch quality, very easy to thread, wonderful thread cutter, has presser foot adjustment, opens completely in the front, stable fabric guide, has additional thread guide to couch pearl cotton and other fibers, has a place to store 2nd needle when not in use, and is a pleasure to use. The 3 extra feet are just what I needed!
I have wanted a serger for some time but was worried that it might be too difficult to learn to use. While watching your show Darlene demonstrated how easy this model was to thread and easy to use as well. When I saw the free shipping and flex pay I had to try it. I knew I could send it back if it wasn't everything as advertised. Welllll, this is a keeper! I was sewing right out of the box! the threading is very easy to do also! This is the 4th machine I have bought from you, none returned:
I really like the serger and the extra value package. The are two things that would put this serger over the top and I hope Singer one day incorporates these things into the unit. The light on the serger is the standard incandescent bulb and is not very bright. I had to buy an additional led light to put onto the machine. This machine would be outstanding if there were built in led lights like the Singer Stylist II sewing machine. The other thing I really like to see if a thread collection cup.
Singer Stylist II Serger For serious sewers, a serger let you take your work to the next level. A great companion to your sewing machine, the Stylist II gives you the power and versatility to finish garments, home decor pieces and more—beautifully. A great accessories package makes it a terrific value.
