So unhappy. I purchased a Cricut years ago and it took quite awhile to get the hang of it and thought it would be the same with Ecraft. Not so. I have had "1" good cut, just "1". I have wasted sooo much card stock. Ouch! I kept saying that I would master this machine as I did with the Cricut. I LOST! I watched the tutorials, tried the tips and tricks and still failed. I wish I could return it, but it's too late. I feel...Sad.

I love my eCraft. It is a learning curve from the Wishblade. I love that there is no messing with caps and trying to remember which cap goes to what paper. I have used a mat and no mat with the eCraft. I don't mind using a mat since I'm use to it. I've only had to use the mat with 12x12 paper because its thin. I've also used the mat to steady appliques. I did have a problem with the pens that came with the eCraft. Ecraft Support was helpful via email for this.

I got a cricut for christmas... was so excited until I realized that you had to buy the expensive cartridges. Whats worse is you cannot return then to the company? Then I saw this one... When I got it home a was so happy no cartridges needed. been obsessed making stuff for everyone...

This one\'s not ready for prime time... yetunguez, OH Rating

I have not had a successful cut yet, so this is going back. I used the suggested settings and it wouldn't even cut through the cardstock they provided. I don't have the time to futz with it like other's have. I need something that cuts like it supposed to when it's supposed to.

I LOVE this cutter, I have others that cost three times as much. This one out cuts them all. Work with getting you blade length and pressure right. You will love it to.

Notes

The eCraft does not require the use of a mat. Instead, it creates micro-tabs, which are similar to a perforated cut. The micro-tabs hold the material together until you pull it apart. This helps eliminate the mess, fuss and risk of tearing that can occur when removing material from a mat.
