I've been sewing on my new Brother for 2 weeks now and don't have one negative thing to say about it. It runs very quietly and very smooth. the stitches are even. I did have to read the instructions before beginning to sew. It has features I never even imagined!I especially like the automatic thread cutter.

Impressive... chez57, ID Rating

I've been in the market for a new addition to my sewing machine lineup for some time. I have a rather expensive Viking, that I love but after 12 years I started having computer problems. I had it repaired to the tune of $400. It still has problems. This Brother machine has MORE features, particularly the thread cutter and the knee lift for presser foot!! YEAH! I figured for the $, I couldn't go wrong! This is a very nice machine, it does have a rather generous throat area also. Am very pleased.

Amazing Sewing Experience... audjharris, AL Rating

I love this sewing machine. I have found a few drawbacks but nothing that would keep me from buying again. I especially love the automatic threader, thread cutter & the knee lift. I make quilts and all of these features combined is the reason I purchased this machine. Also, I ordered this late on a Saturday night & received it on Wednesday! Almost a week earlier than expected.

Love this machine Brother 294 Project Runway... Jenny21845, NC Rating

I have always had a New Home and it died after 17 years. I am a crafter,not a seamstress,and I needed the needle up/down and also the spreed control. This machine has it all,plus is so quiet and easy to run. The computer figures it all out for you. I have only had it for about 3 weeks,,so I will do an update in a couple of months. And did I mention,,it's pretty too!!

Just don\'t lower the feed dogs... Kari865, CA Rating

I have had my machine for a few weeks now. I would have rated it 5 starts until this morning when I made the mistake of lowering the feed dogs... I was not able to raise them again because the switch does not connect. I sent it back to HSN the customer service is excellent by the way and have ordered another one. For the price, this is the most featur packed machine available. It sews wonderfully, I have not had any other problems with it. I love the thread cutter and feet organization.
