Morgan Silver Dollars haven't been minted for more than 80 years. But you can boost your collection with this set that includes 20 random date brilliant uncirculated coins, minted 1878-1904 and/or 1921 in assorted mints. Known as the "coin of the Wild West," each contains over 3/4 oz. silver and dwarfs coinage in use today. It's so large, because by law it had to contain exactly one dollar's worth of silver which was then price fixed at $1.29 per ounce.
This coin was named after George T. Morgan, its designer, and was minted from 1878-1904 and then again in 1921. Few are left, particularly in this great condition, because the Pittman Act of 1918 required that they be melted down for their silver content. The coins feature Lady Liberty on the face and an eagle on back. Your coins come inside a translucent coin tube to help preserve their beauty and condition. Other details include:
- Measure 38mm diameter each
- Weigh 26.73 grams each and contain approx. .773 oz. silver
Note: All items considered for return must be in their original condition as sold. Seals and cases contribute to the value of the coin and currency collectibles and must remain intact and unbroken. This applies but is not limited to: grading cases, Mint and Proof cases and packages, bag seals, original government sealed packaging and/or any other special packaging or containers.
