Released on February 12, 2009 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth
The obverse features an image of President Lincoln with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and 2009
The reverse features those immortal last 43 words of his most famous speech, The Gettysburg Address, "...we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain - that this Nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom - and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." The words are encircled in a laurel wreath placed at its center. Above the wreath is the inscription, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Below is a curling banner with Lincoln's signature incused in the center and on either side of the signature, the words ONE DOLLAR and E PLURIBUS UNUM
