• 1976 includes 3 coins - a 90% silver dollar, half dollar and Eisenhower dollar
• 1973-5 and 1977-1981 include 6 coins each
• 1961-1963 include the last 3 Franklin silver half dollars, Roosevelt dimes and Washington quarters struck in 90% silver
• 1964 proof set includes the first-ever Kennedy silver half dollar
• 1965-1967 no official proof sets were made in these years, but the US mint issued special mint sets that included the year's highest quality coins. The Kennedy half dollar for each year was made in 40% silver
• 1968-1970 include the last Kennedy half dollars minted in 40% silver
• 1976 (3-coin) bicentennial silver proof set includes special quarter, half dollar and dollar coins made for one year only to commemorate the bicentennial; made into an official proof set with 40% silver coins
• 1973-1978 feature the Eisenhower dollars
• 1979-1981 include the Anthony dollars 
• Proof condition - struck at least twice on highly polished coin blanks to bring out the mirrored background and high-relief images
