Here's a curious addition you'll be proud to display in your coin collection.
This Three-Cent Nickel is from 1865-1889 (you'll receive a
random date). On March 3, 1865, Congress authorized the striking of a three-cent
piece in nickel. During the Civil War precious metals were hoarded, this was
designed to replace the silver three-cent piece. Other features include:
- Made of 75% copper/25% nickel
- Very fine to extra fine condition
Note: All coin items considered for return must be in their original
condition as sold. Seals and cases contribute to the value of the coin and
currency collectibles and must remain intact and unbroken. This applies but is
not limited to: grading cases, Mint and Proof cases and packages, bag seals,
original government sealed packaging and/or any other special packaging or
containers.
