As part of the celebration, the United States Mint issued 4 different reverse designs to be used on the 2009 Lincoln Cent: Birth in Kentucky; Professional Life in Illinois; Professional Life in Illinois and Presidency in Washington, D.C.

Graded MS67 by ANACS (single pennies) - mint state coins having no visible hairlines without magnification
Graded MS65 by ANACS (penny rolls) - above normal mint state coins with fewer than normal bagmarks
