• Commemorates the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement. In the spring of 1607, three ships carrying 105 settlers—the Virginia Company of London—made landfall in the New World. The Virginia Company was charged with establishing an English settlement in North America. Its employees were the first permanent English settlers in what would eventually become the United States
• Obverse: depicts Captain John Smith conversing with a Virginia Indian
• Reverse: pictures the Jamestown Memorial Church, the last surviving building from the early years of the settlement 
• PF70 condition - a proof coin with the highest possible grade of 70; struck at least twice on highly polished coin blanks to bring out the mirrored background and high-relief images 
• W-mint mark - struck at the West Point mint 
• Measures approx. .85" in diameter
• Approx. .900 pure gold
• Graded by NGC
• Wooden display box - for storage and display; measures approx. 1-1/4"H x 4"W x 5-3/8"L
