• Uncirculated condition - a coin that has not been circulated for use as tender
• Incuse - design and all the lettering are sunk into the coin - Creates a spectacular image
• Satin finish - burnished finish that is distinctive in that the dies are sandblasted with a fine mixture of sand and glass beads; also called Specimen State (SP)
• Proof coin - a coin that has been struck at least twice on highly polished coin blanks to bring out the mirrored background and high-relief images
