• Reverse - features a tribute to Franklin's role as a patriot and a statesman by recreating his "Join or Die" political cartoon, which was published in the Pennsylvania Gazette
• Each coin is encapsulated in an acrylic holder to preserve the coin's beauty and condition
• Proof coin - features a brilliant mirror-like "proof" finish; the result of 2 or more stampings on special polished blanks. Because of the extra time it takes to strike each coin, only a limited number of proof coins are produced each year
• Coin produced by Philadelphia Mint
