Why upgrade?
The set seem pretty expensive for what is included. However the coins and $2 bill in the set at least came in very good condition. I kept the set because I did like it but I think in the future similar sets should not be as expensive. How much are gold plated nickles even worth?
Too expensive for what is included. Maybe if the P coins were included it might be worth the price. Anyways the gold nickels look cheap, like fakes really. Would look nicer if they were not plated with gold, whick should reduce the price. Anyway, the $2 bill is not in good condition. I bought a great looking 1953 $2 on Ebay for half the price of this set. Pretty much more junk from HSN and it's venders.
The two dollar note I revieced was in extremeley poor condition. The 24k coated coins are done in poor quality, this is by far the worse thing I've seen HSN sell.
Travel west young man (or woman) when you enjoy this Monticello
Commemorative Currency Set . It features (3) 24K gold-plated Return to
Monticello nickels, a Sacagawea Golden Dollar and a rare and original "red seal"
$2 U.S. Note.
2006 Monticello Commemorative Currency Set Includes:
(3) 24K gold-plated Return to Monticello nickels - from both the
Philadelphia and Denver mints
2006 Sacagawea Golden Dollar - first minted in 2000, it is the first
circulating coin to feature an identifiable Native American. Sacagawea was the
guide who accompanied the Lewis and Clark Expedition and the coin depicts
Sacagawea with her baby, Jean Baptiste, on her back.
Original "Red Seal" $2 U. S. Note in display wallet - a classic $2 United
States Note that shows a portrait of Jefferson on the front and Monticello on
the back. The $2 United States Note was last made in the series of 1963 and has
been out of issue for more than 40 years. It is remarkable because of the
distinctive red seal and serial numbers on the front.
