2005 Lewis & Clark Commemorative Currency Set Reviews

I am new to coin collecting and I bought two - one for me and one as a Christmas present. The 12yo lad I gave it two was very happy to have received it as it meant something historical to him. To me this will be handed down for future family members so they can appreciate it too. Remember, coin collecting is a fickle thing and there is no guarantee it WILL increase in value.

The set i received was not the one in the description. It was a complete set but only had four coins in total along with a two dollar bill - did not look new. Not happy. Has anybody received a set like this?

I live in Oregon where Lewis and Clark ended their trip to the Pacific Ocean so this Set really hits the spot for me. I have been extremely happy with all the coins I have received from HSN so far. Several hundred in all. Thanks again HSN for another winner.

The $2 bill in this set, as well as the coins look very nice, however I believe the price is a bit high even if the coins are gold plated. Other than that the set is as described and came in good condtion. Might be worth having if you are into $2 bills or are a fan of the Lewis and Clark expeditions.

Mark the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark expedition with this unique collection of coins and currency. You receive the Buffalo, Ocean View and new obverse versions of the 24K gold-plated commemorative nickels. A Sacagawea dollar from the Philadelphia mint and an original Green Seal $2 U.S. note in Uncirculated condition are also included.
The $2 note with Jefferson's face was the last made in the series from 1963. It has been out of issue for more than 40 years and is remarkable because of the distinctive green seal and serial numbers. Other details of this Lewis and Clark Commemorative Currency Set include:
- Nickels measure approx. .83" in diameter each and weigh approx. .16 oz. each
- Dollar measures approx. 1.04" in diameter and weighs approx. 2.89 oz.
- Currency preserved behind clear plastic in black custom display wallet
- Certificate of authenticity
Note: All coin items considered for return must be in their original
condition as sold. Seals and cases contribute to the value of the coin and
