Behind every coin is a story. This one has a twist. When coin designer, Glenda Goodacre was given P-Mint burnished coins as payment for her services, the coins created such interest that the United States Mint decided to create a special D-Mint version as part of its 2000 Millennium set. Limited to only 75,000 pieces, the set was a sellout. This D-Mint Burnished Sacagawea Dollar was originally part of that Millennium set. Lavish in its shiny golden color that is almost proof-like in its appearance and smile at the stir it will create when friends and family view your collection.

The coin's special burnished finish is unlike any other of the Sacagawea dollars
The dollars are more proof-like than Uncirculated in appearance
The coin is also protected with a proprietary anti-oxidant to maintain the coin's appearance by inhibiting tarnish
