Not So Brilliant Uncirculated Looking !...
Anonymous , PA6/3/2009
I opened the package and saw that the box is very nice. As soon as I opened the box, my eyes went right to the 2002 P and D coins. Both are badly damaged and not acceptable. They look like they were scaped against a cement sidewalk. I am getting a replacement set and if they are not as promised, I'll send them back and be done with the Sacagawea Dollars. This is not an inexpensive set. Give us what you promise , Mike and Alan.
As much as I wanted to like it, I couldn't (except for the nice display box). The 2000 P coin had a long scratch on the front, the 2002 coin had dirt inside the plastic case (ugh)! & some of the other coins had discolored. Very disappointing. Again HSN-better quality control needed.
This is a fairly decent set except---------The 2000P mint is very poor and does not meet my brilliant uncirculated criteria.I will
keep the set but will have to buy the 2000P to replace this one.whoever put this into the set is not a quality grader.I have given many good reports on other coins and sets but some of these could be better.
For those who waited, now the entire collection of Sacagawea dollars is available with our 2000-2008 35-piece Complete Sacagawea Dollar Set. Honor Native Americans and Sacagawea's important role in the Lewis & Clark Expedition with each Sacagawea Dollar released in every finish from every mint and year it was struck, and then proudly display this impressive collection.
