I only had one problem with this coin and it was that they sent it in a steel box when shows a wooden box. I called and was sent a wooden box within a few days. One must remember that a coin shop will give you almost nothing for your coin, they are trying to make a big profit also I wonder why you took it in to a shop so quickly being a new coin collector

I bought this a few months ago as a beginning coin collector. I have now come to learn that most of the stuff HSN sells is junk. I took this coin to a local coin shop and they offered me a whopping $3 for it. Goodbye HSN, never again.

The 1986 Signed MS69 Statue of Liberty Half Dollar commemorates an icon synonomous with the United States, the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor. This particular half dollar is even more special because it is in nearly flawless condition and the grading insert is signed by the Director of the United States Mint at the time of its release—Donna Pope.

1986 Signed MS69 Statue of Liberty Half Dollar Features:

Statue of Liberty half dollar - commemorative coin issued to honor the statue's 100th anniversary
Obverse features an image of a ship of immigrants steaming into New York harbor with the Statue of Liberty in the foreground
Reverse shows an image of a family of immigrants with their belongings on the threshold of America
Autographed - the grading insert is signed by Donna Pope, who was the Director of the United States Mint at the time the coin was issued
MS69 Brilliant Uncirculated condition - mint state coins in this condition have absolutely no visible flaws, so they look perfect to the naked eye
Plastic grading insert - measures approx. 1/4"H x 3"W x 2-3/8"L
Display box - measures approx. 1-1/4"H x 5-3/8"W x 4"L
Coin made in USA; box made in China
