the story behind foot petals  The original designer shoe cushions
Like most women, Foot Petals creator Tina Aldatz has a love/hate relationship with her sexy high heels. A career in the fashion industry meant she wore the season’s hottest shoes, but at the expense of sore feet and blisters. This was extraordinarily painful for Tina, who as a child burned her feet walking over hot coals buried in beach sand. She subsequently spent her life with sore feet and was determined to find a way to love shoes again.

After extensive research and engineering work, Tina created Foot Petals in 2001. She recruited her best friend and former co-worker Margie Floris as vice president of the designer shoe cushion brand.

As a certified pedorthist, Tina designs footwear and orthotics to relieve painful and disabling feet conditions. Her designer shoe cushions help position the foot, prevent calluses, protect bone and tissue and add extra padding. They are made of Poron, which repels moisture, absorbs shock and retain its shape. All Foot Petals shoe cushions have the American Podiatric Medical Association’s Seal of Acceptance and are made in the U.S.

These fashionable, yet invisible solutions to common foot problems prove you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort.
