Whole Grain Waffles
Yield: 6 waffles
Ingredients:
3 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup whole rolled oats
1/4 cup rye flakes
1/4 cup flax seed
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoon honey
1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
2/3 cup 100% whole wheat flour
Directions:
- Combine ingredients together in a large bowl in order listed; do not over mix. It is okay if some lumps remain.
- Fit unit with waffle plates and preheat.
- Apply non-stick spray to waffle plates and scoop 1 cup of batter onto center.
- Close lid, flip and bake for 4-5 minutes.
- Remove and serve with melon balls and powdered sugar
