Green Bean Casserole
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
1 shallot, minced
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons sherry
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk
4 cups cooked green beans
1 cup French fried onions
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a sauté pan or casserole, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the sherry, and mix well.
- Add the canned soup and milk, and bring to a simmer.
- Toss in the green beans, and mix well.
- Place in an oven safe casserole dish.
- Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle with onions, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
