Green Bean Casserole 
 
Yield: 6 servings
 
Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter
1 shallot, minced
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons sherry
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk
4 cups cooked green beans
1 cup French fried onions


Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a sauté pan or casserole, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms and sauté. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the sherry, and mix well.
  5. Add the canned soup and milk, and bring to a simmer.
  6. Toss in the green beans, and mix well.
  7. Place in an oven safe casserole dish.
  8. Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with onions, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
