• 60”- 1” webbing
• 60” - ½” ribbon of your choice
• 1 – leash clip
• sewing machine

Directions

1. Place the ribbon down the center of the webbing. Pin in place.
   
   
2. To attach the ribbon to the webbing, use a straight stitch (or a favorite decorative stitch) and sew close to the ribbon edge down both sides of the ribbon.
   
   
3. Measure 8” from one end and fold to inside. Pin in place.
   
   
4. Sew a straight stitch crosswise through all layers near the raw end of the leash. With needle in the webbing, lift presser foot, turn leash end 90 degrees and place presser foot back down to continue sewing. Repeat until you have formed a 1” box, and then sew diagonally in both directions through the small box. You just made the leash handle.
   
   
5. Lace the other end through the eye of the leash clip and fold over 1 ½” toward back side.
   
   
6. Repeat step four and sew a box reinforcement stitch pattern to secure the leash clip.
