The black and gray paper reminds me of a chalk board, and don’t forget the star for the teacher. | | | click to enlarge | | | | Cut squares from the center of the square flower background paper. Cut the clear acetate phrase and center in the opening. Poke two small holes in each corner and tie twine in a knot, then cut solid cardstock and fold in half to create card. Place your frame in the center of the card. | | | click to enlarge | | | | The card and envelope were created with the Summer collection theme. The blues in the buttons and paper were perfect for a pool party invitation. The alphabet buttons spell out “you are invited,” and the card envelope was made from the blue striped paper in the Summer kit. | | | click to enlarge | | | | This card making kit includes beautiful red, black and tan patterned papers. The tan and red music paper makes me think of old, patriotic sheet music. I paired the paper with silver alphabet punch-outs, along with a silver heart clip to symbolize my American pride. | | | click to enlarge | | | | Colors in the travel punch-outs inspired this whimsical bon voyage card. Using brown for the background, I needed another color to block a section so the punch-outs would really show up. I drew “nail head” dots on the blue block and outlined the brown with a pen. | | | click to enlarge | | | | After I selected the paper for the card, it was easy to find coordinating fabric. The colorful background makes it a simple and fun card, appropriate for any age. | | | click to enlarge | | | | I wanted to make a special friendship birthday card. Because my friend loves flowers, I wanted use that motif on the card. First I selected the purple flower cut-out and then the purple floral vellum. After that using the flower pinwheels just seemed a perfect fit. | | | click to enlarge | | | | To make this card I knew I wanted to use the twill and the flower cut-out. But how to tie the two together? I used a sheet of ivory handmade-look paper on the inside back of the card. I covered the front with pink sponge paper. When I cut a portion of the card front away, it exposed the ivory handmade paper. Then I glued the twill to the card front and it all coordinated! | | | click to enlarge | | | | "How girly is this! I love making tags - they make the perfect addition to any scrapbook page and also add a personalized touch to gifts." | | | click to enlarge | | | Friends & Family | Vacation & Travel | Special Occasions | Seasons | Card Making More Concepts | Layout Library home |
