Fall is a Boo-tiful Time of Year

Something about the fall season makes me smile. The excitement about our girls’ return to school, decorating the house for Halloween, and working with the kids on their Halloween costumes … it’s a fun and busy time of year at the Stallone house!

My Serious Team and our long-time customers know how fun this time of year is for Serious Skin Care. We work so far out on our on-air visits to HSN, and the excitement builds as we see the visits come upon us and see the efforts of my crew come to fruition. October is truly one of the best visits of the year for Serious Skin Care!

The calendar marches on – with only two more visits scheduled until year’s end – October 15-18 and November 19-23.

For October, we focus our energy on Serious Solutions. We have developed a number of offers designed to address specific skin-care PROBLEMS, by offering specific skin-care SOLUTIONS. October’s visit ends on a Saturday, and we will have an offer not to be missed starting at 12am ET!

The exciting newness for October is the full rollout of our new A-Nano XR line. Last visit, we launched our new A-Force Nano XR – selling it out in just one day! Starting in October, you’ll have the opportunity to pick up the complete A-Nano XR regimen. In addition, we will officially launch one of my new favorites – the Total Youth Recall. I invite everyone to tune in for the presentations and learn how to use this exciting new product – Cecilia and I have some tips we want to share with you so you can maximize your results.

Speaking of getting results – we have had a couple of questions posted here on the blog that I wanted to address, to help you get the results you’re looking for:

  • Sharon from New York asked about concealing her brown spots on her cheeks. Sharon, I would suggest that you first apply our SkinCandesence. This will help address this concern over time. To cover the spots, I suggest my favorite liquid foundation – the ProFirm Firming Foundation.
  • Susan from Texas asked how to avoid her Correc-chin from flaking after it dries down. Susan, so often it is a “less is more” approach to our beauty treatment products. I suggest trying to use less on your next application.
  • Nan in Massachusetts asked why her SuperCreamerum is a light brown in color. Nan, that is perfectly normal, as that is the color of the finished product. When we next offer the Creamerum, I will show this…
  • We have had several comments regarding the Serious Firming Pads and that they dry out. Like all of us – the Firming Pads need to fight gravity! As the Firming Pad jar sits upright, the fluid flows to the bottom of the jar, making the top pads seem dryer. We suggest that after securing the lid tightly, flipping the jar upside down for storage, this way when you go to use the top pad – it is saturated so your skin gets the optimum application.

Speaking of busy – I am the 6th-Grade Room Mom for Sophia’s class, and we are doing a Halloween Howl for the school – dancing, spooky games and a haunted house … so both Scarlet and I are busy, buzzing around!

    Hi Jennifer i am 42 yrs old a mother of 6 I also work at UPS and i live in the chicago area, so you can only imagine what my skin is like. I love the olive oil products, and the c face scrub and everything else haha. I wish you would have more shows with more olive oil products I look forward to all your shows, my twin girls are turning 18 and they started to use some of my lotions, now I think I have them hooked, please keep the great products coming along with the great value {price},thanks

    I bought the Beauty Book and love the products but do not love the directions. I posted before and so did MANY others concerning the same issue. How can we get directions on when and what to put in what order? Almost all the products say to put on clean, dry skin, obviously that is not possible. I want to get the most out of the products, so please post directions or direct us to a site where we can get a better step by step please. I do love everything I received. THANK YOU in advance. =}

    Please stock the olive oil moisturizer, it is always out of stock. Also, I love a couple of your other products, but do not like buying huge kits just to get 2 things I like. Perhaps you could think outside of the box and allow customers to formulate their own kits with their 5 favorite products, then make this available on auto-ship. Even if the kits were a little more expensive up-front than the kits you formulate, I'll bet your revenues would increase!!

    Hi Jennifer! I began using SSC a couple of years after you came to HSN; primarily for the acne line. Over the past years I have tried many of your newer products, but the products I still love most and feel are most effective are those earlier products such as the glycolic cleanser,gel, mask, and buff polish. I rarely see these products discussed on air. What I would love to see is for HSN to make available a complete kit of all these products. It would really ease the ordering process.

    I have used serious skin care in the past. The glycolic line. I didn't feel it was getting my skin totally clean. I am 40 and am starting to get whiteheads that wont come to surface and some mild acne. I have combo skin. oily in tzone and dry around cheeks but by my cheek bones is where I have the whiteheads what skincare from your line should I use. I used the Continuously Clear over the summer and it would help but then it dries out my skin. Help! I want my face clear again

    i am going to try your mineral makeup too. plus whatever else i think i need to feel really good. (not heavy but good coverage) I am getting married in Hawaii Feb 2009 so i will need a bronzer but with out the glitter. Thank You So Much.     Hello jennifer, i love skin care i always have since the age of 18. i am 29 and have played around with skincare. I would love to have something that absorbs right in and gives the look of hydrated skin. I am using tretinoin and need a mild skin care solution to compliment the tretenoin. i tend to over rinse and trying to knock the habbit but what to do? I believe in your line just never tried it because i am busy browsing the the department stores looking for something to hydrate. thanx

    LOVE the c-line,fantastic buys. Skin resurfacer is best I've used,use it weekly. I layer this line with Nano A products trying to moisturize extremely dry 60 yr old skin that drinks in everything I put on it. New plant cell treatments are miracle in a jar. Great value w/ beauty book!

    I have been using Reverse Lift since your visit in October & my face has changed dramatically! At 49 I was hoping to bring back some bounce. You hit it out of the ballpark! I've used the highest end product to the drugstore brands, American to European, and nothing has worked as quickly or dramatically. My face is so silky, the skin tone is more even, and my eyelids have actually popped back into place.I wanted to thank you so much! You have a new #1 Fan!

    I'm concerned that I am using too much. I have stem cell, A Force, CoQ10 serum, Creamerum and just ordered Mel C serum, cream and eye cream. I currently use 4 serums/creams on my face (different for day and night), not counting eye serums/creams and neck. If I add the Mel C and CoQ10 it will be 6. Would it be better to alternate between everything every other day than use everything each day? I'm afraid I may be damaging my skin instead of helping it. HELP!

    Hi Jennifer! I love watching you! You are beautiful, funny and seem down to earth. I'm fairly new w/your line and need some help please. With so many products to choose from it can be confusing. I just turned 37 and suffer from acne-prone skin - yea me! I love your A Force serum! I would love to try so many other things but I'm afraid of breaking out.     I'm guessing this may be censored-- I have concerns about nanoparticles & the associated risks. As a scientist I am aware that certain ones can create free radicals & bec. of their size can enter vital organs much easier than larger particles possibly transforming proteins into substances linked with diseases. I'm particularly concerned with fullerenes used in cosmetics. It would be interesting to see your safety data on your products & how the testing was performed. Thank you. Mary McCormick

    I've the olive oil line for 3 years now..but am a bit frustrated that you've changed the configuration of latest kit. I know I'm not the only one who's asked (repeatedly) for the facial moisturizer in a larger container or in a 2-fer. Now, it's not even offered in the new kit, which seems very top heavy in the gooey/oily products(squalene, eye gels, etc). Using those or the body butter on our face every day, even in winter? Break out city! Please consider rebalancing this kit!

    Hi, I just turned 33 and want to look into a skin care regimen, but I really don't know where to start. I love Serious Skin Care and have used the powder, etc. in the past, but I don't know which products I should start using at my age. At least right now, I am not having issues with wrinkles.     Continued....I had tried EVERYTHING on the market with no results. Watching your show on HSN in either July or August, I ordered the C-Mel kit and LOVED it. My skin began to heal. I have since purchased the A Force XR serum and this pushed the healing along even more.     I tried to call in to the show in October to I have had two bouts of skin cancer. Both times the spots were on the edges of my lip on my upper lip. One on the right and a year later, on the left side. I have had the freezing procedure and have used topical chemo cream. The cancer went away, however, the areas that were treated never would heal correctly, they were constantly red, irritated and scaly/peeling. I had tried EVERYTHING on the market... will continue on next entry.........

    I'm 25 years old and would like to step up my skin care. I watch you but I have never ordered any of your products. I would like to see when you come back on in November a kit that targets the problem areas I have and I'm sure many others in their 20's have. My problems are- the 1 between my brows, the lines from nose to mouth, and lines under the eyes.I'm Irish/Native American mixture and I can never find a foudation/powder that doesn't leave my face looking dirty,orange or pink.

    I have recently purchased the olive oil kit and am impressed. Have been using other brands for some time that were more costly.I am 55 years old and and have been blessed with good skin but over the past year I have been seeing a decline.     Hello Jennifer. I started using your products this summer with the C products and in October bought the Olive Oil kit, glycolic kit. I can't seem to find anything to help with the laugh lines on either side of my eyes. I have tried to reverse lift eye cream and have not noticed any difference. Anthing from your product line you can suggest? My face tends to get greasy and I just want to make sure the olive oil kit is good for it--it sure feels good with it on!! Thanks.

    I have been using SSC for 10 yrs now. I have been going through chemo for the last 6 months and can't tell you how the products have kept my skin looking and feeling like it did before I started treatments.     I am 37 as well, and I love the Rulinea FX line. In particular the serum and face cream. It is just right for those that are still oily and battling some left over adult acne. I also love the capo minerale line. I use it sparingly, less is more with this product but it is great.

I am 42 and LOVE all.I use the Nano XR Retinol at night, Summer Sizzlin Kit in the morning, and Reverse Lift both day&night after I apply the moisturizer.     Please put expiration dates on your products. Also, it would be so much more economical if you sold larger sizes... especially in your kits. You have some great products but you get such a small portion that it makes the kits very disappointing.

    I love SSC and enjoy watching Jenn and CeCe, what a great team! I have learned more about skin care watching the two of you than I ever knew, wish I had started 15 years ago. I love all your products but my favorites are some that you don't mention often; the reverse lift eye cream,can't get ready without it (I love the whole reverse lift line!!!), the c/esters skin primer...wow what results, and the c/w esters moisture cushion, what a great jolt of moisture to your skin. Keep them coming!

    Dear Skin Angels: Your products are exceptional. I have MS & the olive oil stick & Omega3 Oil when they're 2 for 1 are heaven. Seems I didn't order enough of the stick & just opened my last Omega3. Will they be offered 2 for 1 anytime soon? On bad days, I don't get around much except on my elbows in bed, have to wash hands alot and the Omega3 is a great back-of-the-hand moisturizer. Use both on my lips due to dry mouth/lips from meds.     I am 72 years old and my regimen is: Supercreamerus 4 times a week, A force serum daily, Skin Candescence daily, A.M. moisturizer VCalstrum La Creme and my P.M. moisturizer is Capo Minerale. Also Capo Minerale for eyes. Can't forget Liquid Laser. This is a little bit expensive but since people tell me that I look like I'm in my fifties I can't complain. Keep up the good work.

    I love the smaller kits. I can use them up faster to purchase and try other items. I do wish we could have a choice in the cleansers in the kits. I only use the vitamin C cleanser. IT keeps my skin so nice and such a clean feeling. I am 54 and the other cleansers just do not do it for me. I also love the new nano products. Nose lines and lines by my mouth have improved. The mineral makeup is now the only one I use. Goes on easy and very nice looking. Does not lay in the fine lines at all. Where
