Behind the Scenes

Wonder what the buyers are doing behind the scenes while you are all shopping with our hosts or searching for a piece of jewelry at HSN.com? Shopping and searching the world for new and exciting great products for you!

The team recently got back from an extensive trip to the Far East visiting Thailand, China, and finally ending up at one of the largest Jewelry Exhibitions in Hong Kong. In addition to searching for emerging jewelry trends, new technology, or newly discovered find of a colored gemstone to bring to HSN, we also work closely with designers and manufacturers to create unique and exclusive products for HSN.

Continuing jewelry trends going into summer included "chocolate", brown and shades of brown from colored stones and pearls, to metals…and metallics: silver, gold, gunmetal, black, rose, and bronze. Color in metals was seen in "colors" of gold, gold plating and plating for watch bands.

In addition, nature: animal motifs, and florals were prevelent in jewelry designs with lots of color. So look for floral motif rings, pendants, and brooches and animal/reptile/bird motifs to include panthers, snakes, frogs, peacocks, etc.

Color, and lots of it, in big bold statement pieces from gemstone rings and pendants to chunky beaded necklaces. In gemstones, you will be seeing a lot of multi-color that looks updated and fun.

Please bring us an emerald cut solitare with a wider band than previously shown. The stone was beautiful but the band was just TOO narrow to carry that size stone (3 ct.) I see many radiant cut but the true emerald cut is what I love. PLEASE!!!

Hi, I don't know if this is where Colleen meant to go, but she said to blog her if we would like to have a Heidi Daus Cruise. I especially would need the cruise during the summer months JUly?August? that went school breaks for the summer and I teach!! I would love it and I am the one who suggested it last night. So here we go, who would love to go on a Heidi Cruise?? Sign me up!!!

I would love to see Statements by Amy Kahn Russell Carved Bone Sterling Silver Cheetah Pendant be brought back that matches the Cheetah ring item 378-337. I would love to see the designer make this ring in enamel or wood. In addition, I would love to see Amedeo make a matching bracelet for Item: 378-542 and Item 378-544 Italy Cameo Simulated Turquoise Sterling Silver and Ebony Wood Pendant and ring. A matching belt would be lovely.

Please ask Heidi Daud to make more enhanser/pin combinations and pieces that can be detached from her beautiful necklaces. For example: I love the frog /pearl necklace and I also own the pins. They are identical and it would have been great to make that necklace with a detachable frog pin so that we could play around. Thank you.

I want to see more John Edward products, I purchased 2 months ago the evolve bracelet for me and several of my friends, I use it every day and besides get compliments for the beautiful rainbow of colors I see more balance in my life, John bring us some matching necklaces with same colors they are indeed beautiful and they DO WORK!!!, so far they did not break, fade or anything like that, I even sleep and work out with my bracelet!!!

I've been with this company for over 10 years. Started shopping online in March. I'd like to compliment HSN for taking QUICK action on the Adobe Flash problem. I'm 58, built my own pc 4 years ago, I'm using Windows 2000 Professional, KEEP the videos as they are now Please...Older operating systems CANNOT use Adobe Flash 8 OR 9 ! Thanks for listening when I called you. Sally C's jewelry is simply beautiful. Love precious gems and turquoise in her designs. Argent Boutique needs NEW stuff!

I would like to see more alexandrite (created or simulated, please) but they need to be smaller stones than what you have been offering, say 1/4 to 1/2 carat. While the huge ones are pretty, they just are not believable. My favorite designer is without question Victoria Wieck....I know she could come up with a beautiful design in technibond, gold, or silver. I have tons of jewelry from HSN, so now I am getting picky. I really like the platinum look, too.

Technibond 24 hour show is great! However, I would give anything to get my hands on the ring that is displayed on the front page of technibond listing. It is in the upper left hand corner and it is almost a terquiose color. I am not sure of the gem! I have never send it on the technibond list for sale. Can anyone give me information on the ring? I would love it if technibond could please make that ring again for sale. I hope that someone can pass my reqest on to technibond.

I so agree with the previous commenter - please offer rings in size 4. I know that you had a few once upon a time as I have a size 4 partial eternity ring from either Absolute or Technibond. I'd love to see them return and I'd especially like to see Technibond and Absolute eternity bands in size 4 since they can't be re-sized. Here in NYC I see a trend in micropave eternity rings with canary in gold and white diamonds in white gold. Can HSN make them with CZs (and in size 4)?

I have been a costumer for 20 years, since was HSC, I am a customer who buys jewelery every week and so far I think HSN has been very selective with designers and quality but Oh BOY!!! let me tell you who told MIRKA DELLANOS that can sell jewelery? SORRY!!!, but is the ugliest jewelery I ever seen in HSN in years!!!, I will advice her to continue with her successful career but the taste for jewelery and CLASS is not in her, don't bring more please, we had enough!!

I just want to say that I have experienced the huge change in HSN from a year ago. And this online shopping format is incredible! This is so easy to use, fast and I am surprised how much it has changed. There is no other channel that has ever equaled HSN's website before.

Someone suggested a collaboration between Heidi Daus and Jay King. That would be amazing! Or...how about Nicky Butler and Jay King! I would love to see what Nicky could do with some of Jay's mine finds. I love Jay's chunky jewelry and great stones, but it's a consistently large and organic style for the most part. Sometimes I like more delicate, stylized jewelry, and I adore Nicky Butler's sense of color and composition.

I'm not really into jewelry too much. I do love earrings & chains...except I can only wear gold. I'm glad I found Technibond...I can now wear pretty earrings that I'm not allergic to. I would love to see white gold...please!

LOVE technibond... I have many chains, but would love to have enhansers. It's a great way to change the look and really enhanse the chains. Also, I love sets. Please get BOLD necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. Love that matching look. Really want a bold San Marco necklace and a matching bracelet.

I love Technibond. I have purchased many pieces over the years. I recently ordered a set from the Michaelisa collection. WOW... it's great. Please bring us MORE! I am a lover of big and bold pieces that make a statement. Nothing ordinary. I would love to see pieces with pave Absolute as well as pave laser cutting. Pave is a fabulous look and is so hot right now. I will continue to watch and wait for my favorites BIG - BOLD - PAVE - MICHAELISA... PLEASE!!!!

Perhaps it is a florida type item in stones from the dominican republic. Larimar. it is just gorgeous. I see you have none. why? I travel to AZ and NM and the silversmiths are now working in it and is it fabulous stuff. I am surprised Jay King does not have it in his line. Love is stuff, have a few pieces. It would sell out like hotcakes!

color, color, color! my all time favorite--and from i read about jewelry sales--is blue sapphire. whatever happened to your color creations line? perhaps one day you can launch an exclusive line starring created blue sapphires in silver/technibond. my preference is rings. i find hsn's choices limited, and forgive me, a little over the top to be believable. i once bought a created blue sapphire solitaire (2cts) and gave it away to a friend who always gushed over it--i've yet to find another!
