Tips for Styling

• Always place wig on a wig stand for styling with an electrical appliance.
• Always set straighteners or curling irons to preheat setting.
• To avoid damage to wig, never apply heat above 340º F.
• Heat softens hair fibers; always allow hair to cool (fibers will harden) before finishing look as this helps set the style.
• Use a soft hairspray to hold finished styles.
• To create a new style, wash and rinse wig and allow to dry thoroughly on a wig stand so hair fibers return to original style.
• Wig may be worn in original style or restyled when fully dry.

When Using a Curling Iron

• Wrap a section of hair around curling iron beginning from the bottom of the hair and move upward to approximately 1-1/2" from the rooting.
• Remove curling iron after a few seconds to get the curl to shape; pin curl into place until cool.
• Continue in this way until all curls are shaped, pinned and cooled.
• Removed hairpins, shake out wig and spray to complete your style.
• For tight curls, work using only a small section of hair at a time; for softer curls, work with a larger section of hair.

When Using a Hair Straightening Appliance

• Separate a small section of hair beginning at the top of the wig approximately 1" from the rooting.
• Move the straightener in a smooth and even motion down to the bottom of the section.
• To achieve best results, continue working in small sections until the entire wig is straightened.

Notes
 

• The fiber used in the construction of your wig is heat resistant up to 340º F.
• A blow dryer or styling tool can be used on low heat only.
• It is important to keep your wig away from an open flame.
