I FIND THIS NAIL POLISH TO BE VERY UNIQUE AND VERY COOL. IT IS EXTREMELY SIMPLE TO USE AND IT LASTS A REALLY LONG TIME TOO!!!

Peeled because I had to have a few coats to get a good magnetic imprint. I used her top coat as suggested and in 3 hours I had chipping and peeling of color. Not what I expected for this price.

Unfortunately I was not impressed... jlox, IL Rating 5/3/2012
I thought I would like it much more than I did. I used it on myself and my boss. Neither of us were impressed. The colors were just "ok" and you had to put on three coats which made it too thick. I wish I would have had a better exprerience with it as this was my first purchase from Deborah Lipmann's collection.

How to Use

Nail Lacquers and Magnetic Cap
  • Start with clean, dry nails
  • Apply Deborah Lippmann base coat (sold separately) and allow 1 minute to dry
  • Apply one coat of magnetic nail color on all 10 nails and allow to dry at least 1 minute
  • To create magnetic wave design effects, apply a second coat to one nail
  • Immediately after application (while nail is still wet), hover the magnetic cap 1/4cm over the nail and hold for 10 seconds
  • For best results, align the ridge of the lip of the magnetic cap with the base of the nail, at the cuticle
  • Keep an eye on the magnet as you over it over our fingernail to avoid touching nail polish
  • Try to lean down to eye level with your nail to ensure that the magnet gets close enough to your nail
  • During this time, you may slightly shift the magnetic cap's position to each side of the nail to reach the outer edges so the effect reaches all parts of the nail
  • Repeat this process on all nails, working one nail at a time
  • When you apply your second coat of magnetic polish, immediately use the magnet to create the design on each nail
  • To ensure that your wave design stays intact, apply a topcoat after the polish has mostly dried, usually after about 2 minutes of dry time 

Nail Tips

  • Paint one nail at a time because you get the best results when the polish is very wet
  • Be sure to hold the cap close to the nail, being aware of the cuticle rest so that the magnet doesn't touch the nail
  • Hold the magnet one way, and then move in another direction
  • Move the magnet up, down, sideways or lengthwise
  • There's no specific direction you have to move the magnet to achieve results
