Why Be Pretty When You Can Be Gorgeous?
I can't believe it's been eight months since my very first HSN show! I was so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the fabulous "Sephora on HSN" shows and meet the incredibly talented show hosts I'd grown to love over the years as I watched them on my television. Thank you all so much for making Too Faced one of the most successful cosmetics brands on HSN in such a short time. It's because of you that we now have our very own Too Faced shows presented by Sephora!
It has been so much fun creating and developing products that allow all of you to achieve professional results without being professionals. Believe me, I've had the privilege of working with some of the most rich and famous women on the planet, but honey, if I had a team of ten glamour experts working on me, I could look like a supermodel too-but that just isn't real life.
I love using the tricks of the trade that I've learned throughout my 18 years in the biz to create cosmetics that afford "real women"–like my mom, sister, and friends–the same advantages and special effects that were once only available to stars, socialites or millionaires. I learned to use a foundation brush to apply liquid makeup to create the most flawless and seamless finish, but even I had trouble fumbling with the bottle and brush. I spilled more makeup than I care to recount. That's how my "Magic Wand Foundation in a Brush" was born. I developed a pure foundation based in sea water and loaded it into a fool-proof foundation brush. My mother hasn't stopped thanking me since I gave her that first brush.
The same thing went into my "Brow Envy Kit". So many of my gal pals were suffering the freeway traffic up to Beverly Hills to get their brows professionally shaped and sculpted. I knew I could give them the same pro-results at home, so after a year and a half of lab time, my "Brow Envy Kit" was born and changed the world for countless busy women desperate for gorgeous brows.
I just can't tell you how much it thrills me to "hit it" with rock star products like that. I feel so great helping women raise their self esteem through how they view themselves. It may sound simple, but I believe that if life isn't exactly what you want it to be, if you begin to look the part, life will catch up. The way we see ourselves is a very powerful thing.
I want every one of you to look in that mirror and feel amazing, because you are amazing! Live it up ladies, that's what it is all about. Mix a little bit of glam into your everyday life. When you were little girls playing with your dolls and sneaking into your mom's closets playing dress up, didn't you dream of growing up to be gorgeous? Well then be gorgeous! Life is too short to be just pretty. And remember, “Why Be Pretty When You Can Be Gorgeous"?
