Why am I getting an error message when I text-in a keyword or response to HSN?


It's usually for one of these reasons:

  • You've text-in an incorrect or invalid keyword.
  • Your text message includes other characters or information not requested.
  • Your text message includes an auto-signature or phrase in addition to your keyword. This must be turned off when texting to us.

What do I need to start getting HSN Mobile Alert messages?


All you need is a mobile phone that can receive text messages. Just sign up for the alerts you want on the Mobile Alerts signup page.

How do I know if my phone and/or mobile provider support Mobile Alerts?


Contact your mobile provider to see if you can receive text messages. Any phone with text messaging capabilities can get HSN Mobile Alerts

Is there a charge for HSN Mobile Alerts?


While HSN does not charge for Mobile Alerts, standard text messaging rates from your provider may apply. Please check with your mobile provider for information on text plans and messaging rates.

What is the confirmation code?


A confirmation code is sent to your mobile phone when you sign up for HSN Mobile Alerts. This confirmation code must be entered on the HSN.com website in order to start your Mobile Alerts.

What if I lost or never received a confirmation code?


You can get another confirmation code by going to the Mobile Alerts signup page and signing up again.

How many alerts will I receive per week?


It depends on which alerts you sign up to receive. For example, if you have signed up for the HSN Today's Special alert, you will get a daily alert informing you of that day's Today's Special.
If you have signed up for Order Status alerts, you will get an alert anytime you place an order, your order has shipped, a return has been processed, or you cancel an order. Please refer to the main mobile alerts page to determine the maximum number of messages you may receive for each subscription. What times of day will the alerts be sent?


You can customize the time of day or night when you would like to receive alerts on the Mobile Alerts signup page: midnight - 8 AM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 4 PM - midnight. If you want to receive the Today's Specials as early as possible, sign up for the midnight - 8 AM time period. You'll receive them shortly after midnight.

How do I stop receiving alerts?


Stop receiving alerts by going to the Mobile Alerts signup page and opting out of the alerts you do not wish to receive. Or you may reply reply STOP to any message or text STOP to 69476 (Customer Service Alerts) or 47688 (Today's Special, Scoop Alerts).
